Concrete Scanning For McDade-Woodcock
- Los Lunas, New Mexico

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. (GPRS) was called to scan a slab outside of a correctional facility in Los Lunas, NM for McDade-Woodcock, Inc. They wanted to know the location of any reinforcing steel so that they could determine whether or not the existing slab could support a new generator that weighed 60,000 lbs. Using ground penetrating radar, GPRS found that the slab had a consistent pattern of rebar that was 12” on center all the way throughout the slab. All of the findings were painted on the concrete and accurate depths were provided. With the information presented McDade-Woodcock will now be able to assess the existing slab for their upcoming project.
