Concrete Analysis At Sandia Crest
- Albuquerque, New Mexico

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems recently mobilized the Sandia Crest in Albuquerque, NM to scan the concrete base of a radio tower and one of its base anchors. The customer, KOAT-TV, wanted to locate any reinforcing steel and was primarily concerned with rebar that was running through the concrete base. The Albuquerque GPRS office scanned the designated areas for reinforcing steel and mapped out all of it on the surface of the roof along with the beams. The information provided allowed KOAT-TV to move forward in their decision of whether or not to replace the bases. Because precautions were taken, no rebar was hit or severed and the construction site remained safe.

Here at GPRS we operate with the newest and most innovative GPR equipment; which is completely safe for both our clients and the job site because there is no radiation emitted from the equipment. What we find is immediately available to our customers because we can mark on the surface what we are seeing, and therefore no wait time is required. GPRS can help you locate post-tension cables, rebar, conduits, underground storage tanks and utilities.
